We are seeking a skilled and experienced Appliance Repair Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of household and commercial kitchen appliances, specifically ovens, gas hobs, induction hobs and refrigerators- both residential and commercial units. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in electrical and gas appliance repair, strong troubleshooting skills.
In this role, a strong focus on customer satisfaction is essential. You will be interacting directly with clients, so excellent communication skills, a professional demeanor, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service are key.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair ovens, gas hobs, induction hobs, and refrigerators

Identify defective parts using schematics, visual inspection, and test equipment
- Install new units and perform routine servicing and preventive maintenance
- Perform gas safety checks, leak detection, and ensure compliance with local safety regulations
- Identify and replace faulty components efficiently

Communicate clearly with customers regarding repair needs, timelines, and costs.
- Document all repairs, parts usage, and customer interactions accurately
- Provide professional and clear communication with customers on site
- Maintain tools, inventory, and a clean work area
- Stay updated on appliance technology, tools, and safety procedures

Collaborate with technical support teams for complex repairs or recurring issues
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience repairing kitchen appliances, especially ovens, gas/induction hobs, and refrigerators
- Strong understanding of electrical and gas systems, including fault diagnosis and circuit testing
- Proven ability to identify and replace faulty components such as thermostats, heating elements, control boards, sensors, compressors, etc.

Ability to read technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize service calls
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications

Technical diploma or certification in appliance repair, electrical, or HVAC
- Certification in Gas Safe / HVAC / Refrigeration systems is a strong plus
- Previous experience with smart or high-end appliances is a plus
- Familiarity with both domestic and commercial kitchen appliance models
